Audiomoth was born during a recording session in a basement in Utah. The mics were terrible, the acoustics were bad, and I barely had any idea what I was doing—but there was a cool moth display hung up on the wall.

I've done a lot of projects since then, earned a bachelor's degree in audio, and upgraded my mics—but I've learned dimly lit basements with good people and creepy taxidermy will always produce the best records.
